Lumpy's Diner was built from scratch — one family, one griddle, one neighborhood at a time. Pull up a chair and meet the people behind your favorite East Bay diner.
Born Into the Business
Jeremy "Lumpy" Sturgill grew up running his parents' diner in Concord by age fourteen. He learned early that a great diner is really just a great community with good food in the middle.
Antioch, 2008
In 2008, Lumpy opened his own spot in Antioch from the ground up. A second location in Pittsburg followed — growth driven by one simple thing: people kept coming back.
A Family Runs This Place
Lumpy met and married Marci in 2011, and the next year they welcomed their son Jaxx. This has always been a family operation — not a corporate one — and you can feel it the moment you walk through the door.
Rooted in the East Bay
Lumpy's gives back the way this community shows up — annual car shows, toy drives, burger contests, and fundraisers year-round. Elle Dee's Catering brings that same spirit to weddings and corporate events.
The Food That Started It All
The California Burger, ballpark garlic fries, double mimosas — made by people who genuinely care whether you enjoy it. We'll see you at the counter.
